| "Mr. Danger"
= BLOOD at the S-Arena! June 30th, 2005 |
||
"Mr.
Danger" Mitsuhiro Matsunaga again made an appearance
in ZERO1-MAX at the S-ARENA show with Young MAX versus the
Karate Army. Matsunaga appeared on 6/17 wearing black clothes
and a white mask in defense of the Karate Army.
And even though Matsunaga appeared once again in his karate gear, he reminded everybody why he is known as "Mr. Danger" as in his match with Osamu Namiguchi he brought out the deathmatch style! Namiguchi received a fluorescent light tube shot to the head as well as being stabbed repeatedly with a giant spike. Matsunaga also attacked the referee and ZERO1-MAX President Nakamura, who was bloodied and had to be carried out after the attack. Overall the Karate Army won the battle 3-2, with only Kohei Sato and Yoshihito Sasaki winning the top of the card matches, the most notable being Kohei taking out Ogasawara in just under forty seconds with an ankle hold. The heat between Young MAX and the Karate Army deepens. |

| Otani Comments on Sasaki
Confrontation! June 27th, 2005 |
||
Shinjiro
Otani spoke to the media today from the ZERO1-MAX offices
in Tokyo about his upcoming bout against Japan's 2004 MVP
- Kensuke Sasaki. Otani said that when he and Sasaki where
both in New Japan, Sasaki always spent the extra effort to
help and prepare the younger wrestlers.
Otani again referenced their February 16th, 2001 match in New Japan, his final New Japan match. That match was for the IWGP Heavyweight title, and a big moment for Otan,i who had been one of NJPW's greatest Juniors class wrestlers. And Otani added that even though he didn't win the title, that was a big moment in his career. Otani also acknowledged that Sasaki has a hard schedule coming up, as the freelance fighter has Kenta Kobashi in NOAH on 7/18 and Riki Choshu on 8/4 for WRESTLE-1. Otani said he hopes Sasaki doesn't overlook their match for ZERO1-MAX as he himself is taking it very seriously and will do his best to win a victory. On a final note, Otani also spoke about Tadao Yasuda wanting to be in the Fire Festival, and he said he didn't like Yasuda's response when he was told you don't win money and only win the Fire Festival Katana (Yasuda has gambling debts he needs paid off, and has been shopping his talents around trying to get work). Otani suspects Yasuda will pawn the sword if he were to win the Fire Festival. |

| Kensuke Sasaki in Fire
Festival 2005! June 24th, 2005 |

| Today at a press conference
at the ZERO1-MAX offices in Tokyo, Mr. Nakamura, Shinjiro
Otani and Japanese Pro Wrestling MVP of 2004 - Kenusuke Sasaki
made the announcement to the media that Sasaki will take part
in this year's Fire Festival.
To this Otani was quick to remind Sasaki that the Otani of four years ago is far from the Otani of the current ZERO1-MAX. Sasaki agreed with this and said he can't wait to see how much Otani "has grown" since then... the fight has been booked as a No Time Limit contest. |

| Hidaka Victorious! "Mr.
Danger" In Da House! June 17th, 2005 |

| ZERO1-MAX packed the fans
into Korakuen Hall today for some interesting moments and
quite a few surprises. The first thing of note is that freelance
fighter Tadao Yasuda took Shinjiro Otani up on his invitation
and sat front row for the show with a bright red baseball
cap on.
Yasuda seemed to enjoy himself during the show, and cheered Otani on during the semi-main event six man tag team match. Yasuda has been petitioning ZERO1-MAX for a spot in the Fire Festival, though nobody trusts his motives as it's known he is in deep debt from gambling. After the 6-man's conclusion, Yasuda grabbed the ring mic and once again asked to be in the Fire Festival. This didn't sit well with Hirotaka Yokoi, who attacked the intruder and a large scuffle ensued that had to be broken up.
The opening match had Takao Omori in his "punishment match" from AWA General Manager Oscar David against the Dynamic Dream Team's Danshoku Dino. Dino had his own ideas for this match, claiming it as the first "GAY Max" match and for the "Wordwide Anal" Championship belt.
To his surprise after winning the bout the ring announcer named Omori the "1st GAY ace" to which Omori quickly said that wasn't the case. He gave Dino his belt back and said while he appreciates the gesture he has his eyes set on the AWA World Heavyweight title that he lost to Corino. Dino seemed not to mind, and said he's looking forward to facing Minoru Fujita for the GAY title, and licked his lips!
Also announced during the show was the contract signings of the new announced current roster, including the addition of four new grapplers to the ranks (see article below for details). |

| Otani Press Conference
- Yasuda Intrusion! June 16th, 2005 |
||
Shinjiro
Otani held a press conference today to announce the updated
cards for "Survivar 72H" and to answer various questions
from the sports media. He said that as previously stated,
Takehiro Murahama, had to take off the store to train for
his upcoming HERO match.
He also announced that Omori's scheduled match against Danshoku Dino is a "penalty match" from AWA General Manager Oscar David for Omori's loss of his AWA World title match to Steve Corino on 6/12 in Michigan. He said he'll leave it up to Omori to decide if he wants to accept anything to do with the "GAY Worldwide Anal Class" title that Dino has stipulated for the match.
Otani had to remind Yasuda that the winner of the Fire Festival doesn’t recieve a check but the possesion of the Fire Festival katana. Yasuda said he will come to the 6/17 Korakuen Hall show now matter what, to which Otani asked him to not do anything "excessive." Mr. Nakamura also commented that Yasuda had gotten fat and needed to get in better to get a slot in the Fire Festival. Otani added that he was dressed slovenly and needed to generally clean up his act if he wants in ZERO1-MAX. |

ZERO1-MAX
Chief Executive Officer Yoshiyuki Nakamura announced today
at the ZERO1-MAX offices in Tokyo that Horshu (Luther Reigns)
will have to be substituted on the "Survivar 72H"

Apparently, there was an incident involving Horshu at the security checkpoint for his flight. The fiery gaijin fighter began to verbally berate the airport staff and was forbidden to board his flight. He then became enraged and was taken in by security. He will be substituted by the The Hardkore Kidd (Aaron "Jesus" Aquilera) on the tour. |

| Omori and Tanaka Return
From the U.S. June 14th, 2005 |
||
|
||
| Today, Masato Tanaka and
Takao Omori returned home from the United States and were
met at Narita airport by the Japanese sports media.
Tanaka said he was proud of his match on Sunday at the ECW pay-per-view, that it was just like old times and to have the fully packed Hammerstein Ballroom exploding during his violent match with Mike "The Gladiator" Awesome (the crowd chanted: "This match rules! This match rules!"). He added that from the 1st match of the pay-per-view he felt like he was in a time warp back to the old days of the promotion. He brought back a folding chair from the show and a mini-replica of the ECW championship belt. Takao Omori was in different spirits on his return from his lost AWA Heavyweight Championship match against Steve Corino in Michigan for AWA Ultimate Championship Wrestling. Omori said he found it interesting that AWA General Manager Oscar David made no appearance at any of the shows he wrestled at over the weekend. |

Otani
said he would like to face Sasaki on 7/9 in Nigata at the
"Decide It Again" show, and asked President Nakamura if
that was okay, and Sasaki also agreed. Sasaki recalled the
last time he and Otani faced off against each other, going
all the way back to February 16th, 2001 for New Japan Pro
Wrestling in a successful Sasaki IWGP Title defense. Sasaki
said Otani will always be his favorite Junior class fighter.

During
the press conference there was also the appearance of current
freelance , and former New Japan, wrestler - Tadao Yasuda.
Yasuda has been brought up in the media a lot as looking
for a way to pay off his vast gambling debt. He came to
the office to petition Otani for a spot in the upcoming
Fire Festival.

Dino
said this new title belt will be known as the "GAY
Worldwide Anal Class" title, and will be rainbow colored,
of course. The first Anal Class champ will be decided on
the first show of the upcoming "Survivar 72H"
tour taking place on 6/17 in Tokyo's Korakuen Hall.
